Environmental Policy

Nicholls Transport is conscious of our environmental impact and make every effort to reduce our carbon footprint. Each year we buy new vehicles to replace the older ones - All of our diesel vehicles run using AdBlue. We try to make deliveries at night to ease congestion on the roads and constantly try to reduce empty miles.

We would like all of our customers to be confident that they are working with an environmentally conscious transport company. We hope that by gaining and maintaining the ISO14001 environmental accreditation / certification, this shows that we are committed to constantly improving our performance and reducing our effect on the environment.

Nicholls has also achieved bronze accreditation with FORS Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme.The FORS standard is based on lawfulness, safety, efficiency and environmental protection. We are also members of the Road Haulage Association (RHA). The Road Haulage Association (RHA) provide expert advice and information on all aspects of running a haulage operation. All goods are carried subject to the Road Haulage Association (RHA) Conditions of Carriage or CMR Conditions of Carriage.
