Moving Forward with Walking Floor Trailers

Our fleet of walking floor trailers have been a huge success since they were first introduced into our fleet of trailers. We use this trailer type for runs that mainly involve recyclable goods such as paper and wood chip. We are planning on expanding our fleet of walking floor trailers further to accommodate our continued success with this type of work.

In the near future we are hoping to provide our walking floor trailer service further afield in European countries such as France, Belgium and The Netherlands. Many of our fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) clients are using walking floor trailers to deliver fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) goods and return them with their waste packaging allowing for greater capacity and a more efficient solution from collection to delivery. Our walking floor trailer service is extremely efficient and competitively priced.

Now For The Technical Part (How Walking Floor Trailers Work!)

The floor system of a walking floor trailer is made up of three sets of floor slats which are hydraulically powered. The third slat of each set is connected to the next set. The load on top of a walking floor trailer is then moved forwards of backwards when all sets of slats move together at once. For a load to stop moving the slats of the trailer are retracted by only moving one set of slats at once.

Here is a video showing our walking floor trailers in action.
